After experiencing a deep emotional trauma, my spiritual world and thoughts have experienced a huge shock. However, this pain has become the starting point of my spiritual growth. I began to re-examine my inner world and explore a deeper self. I always believe that life experiences and thoughts can be transmitted and inspired by each other. I hope that my words can help those kind and loving people who are troubled by external thoughts, and help them find their own self-sufficient state, that is, the most real and pure self.
I firmly believe that there is a god or Buddha in everyone's heart, and each of us has the opportunity to reach a broader height of life. When we withdraw from the obsession with the external world and turn to the exploration of the inner world, we can truly gain freedom. As the philosopher Schopenhauer said:
“Life is like a pendulum, constantly swinging between misery and boredom. For once we are free from want, hardship and pain, we are left with boredom, which is its own kind of torture.”
Pain (Schmerz)—— When we desire something but cannot have it, we feel deep pain, such as poverty, illness, loss, and the torment of desire.
Boredom—— When our desires are satisfied but there are no new goals, we will fall into emptiness and boredom.
Pendel—— Life is not static, but constantly swings between pain and boredom, making it difficult to stay in true satisfaction and happiness.
This statement made me see the true nature of society. Why are people always so competitive with each other? Why does everyone revolve around interests and money? Why if you choose not to participate in this game, you will be marginalized, deprived of a sense of security and self-identity? Are these feelings really generated by ourselves? Or is it a mindset imposed on us by this society?
Have you ever really thought about who you are? Have you ever tried to find your true self?
In fact, each of us is self-sufficient when we come into this world. Our hearts are originally full of love, joy and peace. These wonderful energies are not obtained through external training, but come from within. However, in the process of growing up, we have learned too many rules and systems, and have been instilled with a lot of knowledge that is of no benefit to spiritual growth. This knowledge is constantly overturned and updated, which will eventually only bring a heavier mental burden.
In my article, I will lead you to explore what true free thinking is and how to see through the thinking patterns constructed by this society and capitalist system in order to control humans. For example:
- Why can't the world truly come together as one?
- Why are there gaps between different countries and cultures?
- What is the real meaning of culture?
- How can we prevent the earth’s ecology from being destroyed?
- How to find true love, joy and peace within yourself?
The Case of the Island: Culture, War, and Scarcity
Take a small island, for example. This land has experienced many wars and colonizations, and has constantly survived under different cultural influences. The history of this island has shaped the current mindset of people - highly competitive, deeply dependent on land, and a strong desire to possess resources.
The modern society of the island is full of competition, especially in the workplace and education system. Students are taught from an early age to work hard in order to get good grades in exams, enter good schools, and eventually find a stable, well-paid job. The whole society constantly emphasizes the standard of "success", which is almost always linked to wealth and status. The real root behind this existential anxiety is long-term external pressure and the accumulated sense of scarcity in the collective unconscious.
A profound epiphany
During my long stay in London, England, I had an unforgettable experience.
One day, on my way home from yoga, I saw a middle-aged homeless man sitting on an old newspaper with his dog, keeping each other warm. At that moment, my heart was filled with sadness. I felt that he was cold, so I smiled at him awkwardly.
However, he saw through my thoughts and said to me in a loud and confident voice: "Don't look at me with that smile, I don't need it."
I was shocked. After returning home, I kept thinking, why does he have a kind of confidence and optimism that ordinary people don't have?
I finally understood that he had truly understood the truth of life. He did not need the sympathy of others, because in his world, he was already free and rich enough. He did not need to think about how to get more to make himself happy every day, because he knew that those external short-term pleasures were just illusions. For him, the real wealth was not money, but inner peace and the deep bond between him and his dog.
In contrast, those of us trapped by social rules, despite our material comforts, are still driven by pain, desire, and boredom. We keep chasing short-term pleasures, then fall into new pain and emptiness, and are ultimately enslaved by our own thoughts.
Pleasure vs. Joy: Short-term Thrills and Lasting Happiness
Humans have always been pursuing external pleasures, but few people truly understand the difference between pleasure and joy.
Pleasure It is the short-term pleasure brought by external stimulation, such as obtaining material wealth, likes on social media, satisfaction from shopping, enjoyment of delicious food, etc. These pleasures are often fleeting and can easily make people dependent. When the pleasure disappears, people will fall into new desires, craving more stimulation to fill the void in their hearts. The disappearance of pleasure is usually accompanied by pain and new anxiety.
joy It is a deep sense of happiness from within. It does not rely on external materials, but is a love and satisfaction with life itself. True joy comes from love, creation, growth, inner peace and deep connection with others or nature. Joy will not disappear due to changes in the outside world. It is a lasting inner energy.
For example, a person may feel a brief pleasure after buying an expensive piece of clothing, but when the novelty wears off, he may feel empty again and need more material consumption to fill it. However, when a person focuses on something he loves, such as art, music, meditation, or helping others, he will feel a deep joy that will not disappear easily.
Awakening and liberation
My article aims to guide everyone to find true joy. This joy is not brought by external material, but comes from the divinity deep in the heart. It will not disappear due to changes in the outside world, but always exists in our hearts.
When we are truly full of love and truly understand the state of "no self", we can gain spiritual liberation and move towards true freedom. At that time, our souls will enter the era of ascending dimensions.
